National Anti-Bullying Week Competition 2014

Dance for Diversity!

We are pleased to announce our very special competition for National Anti-Bullying Week 2014 is supported by our very own Celebrity Anti-Bullying Ambassadors Diversity! We are on a UK wide search calling on all Anti-Bullying Ambassadors to celebrate diversity within their school through dance. The winners will get the chance to meet and perform to Diversity!

This year’s Anti-Bullying Week falls between the dates of 17th – 21st November 2014. This week has been dedicated to raising awareness of bullying within schools and communities, and to highlight ways of prevention and responding to bullying.

This year through our competition we want you to use dance to recognise and celebrate diversity. Our competition is made up of 2 parts:

Part 1 – We are looking to our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors to scout out a group of talented dancers within their school and choreograph a dance routine. Remember the aim of this dance is diversity, think about how you can incorporate diversity into your routine.

Part 2 – The second part of our competition is for Ambassadors to organise and hold a diversity event within your school where your dance group will debut their diversity routine! Include everyone and see what unique qualities they can bring.

Final step – Document what you have done! Take photos, make a well filmed video of your dance and send it in to us along with a written entry about what you have been up to. Use this opportunity to tell us about all the effort that has gone in to your event because… Diversity themselves will be picking the winning entries!

Check out our resources page for our downloadable poster and Diversity pack to help get you started on your entry.

The closing date is the 24th October 2014
