Diana Award joins forces with ASOS
to tackle body confidence in teens

Today (3 February 2015) The Diana Award announces its partnership with ASOS to tackle body confidence in young people.  This new programme will equip and empower teens, from across the UK, helping them to overcome pressures relating to body image, build their self-esteem and allow them to support each other. 

This two year initiative will involve a series of practical and hands-on workshops reaching thousands of young people in schools and at Diana Award and ASOS engagement events.  It brings the knowledge and expertise of the Diana Award in training and developing young people.   Sessions will also be aimed at teachers, parents and family with the aim of bringing everyone on board to build a body confident nation.

Tessy Ojo, CEO, Diana Award says:  “This is such an important issue for young people as body image issues can affect everything from relationships to job interviews.  We are determined to give teenagers the tools and the building blocks for future happiness.  By starting with young people we can institute real change in body confidence for generations to come.  Our initiative with ASOS offers a way to have direct conversations with teenagers, helping them to challenge some of the pressures they are under on a daily basis.”

The Diana Award was set up as a lasting legacy to Princess Diana’s belief that young people have the power the change the world for the better. Her sons The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry support the award and Prime Minister David Cameron MP is Patron.
