Dublin Showcase at Facebook Dublin HQ - 28th April 2015

On the 28th April we celebrated the achievements of a number of Anti-Bullying Ambassadors from Ireland, at our annual Irish Showcase event at Facebook Headquarters in Dublin.

Three schools were selected to be this year's “Showcase” schools. Students from Newbridge College (County Kildare) and Parkhall Integrated College (County Antrim) received certificates and The Diana Award for outstanding Anti-Bullying work in their schools. St. Patrick’s Primary School were also selected to receive the award and was received by their Headmistress on their behalf.

What is a Showcase School? Is a school that demonstrate "good practice" Anti-Bullying Ambassadors work. This included Anti-Bullying Ambassadors taking an active role is promoting a positive Anti-Bullying message, supporting other students (students feel safe to be themselves and know that they have someone to talk to if they are in need), starting new initiatives and working in their communities.

There were a number of special guests that attended the Showcase to show their support. Some of the guests included-  Sonia Flynn (Head of Facebook Ireland), Dr James Reilly TD (Minister for Children and Youth Affairs and Deputy Leader of Fine Gael), Marcus Butler, Nadine Coyle, Fresh Rè, Bars and Melody, Ronan Keating and Jedward.
