The Diana Award's response to the government's Internet Safety Strategy green paper

Last month The Government published their Internet Safety Strategy Green Paper - their plans on how to make Britain the safest place in the world to be online.

We agree with the core principles of this paper:

  1. that what is unacceptable offline should be unacceptable online;
  2. all users should be empowered to manage online risks and stay safe;
  3. and technology companies have a responsibility to their users.

These principles are in line with The Diana Award Anti-Bullying Campaign’s work. We aim to empower young people to tackle all forms of bullying on and offline, and we work with them to increase their digital resilience and keep themselves and their peers safe online.

The Diana Award Anti-Bullying Campaign has responded to the paper and our answer in full is available to read here.
