Be Strong online evaluation TOOLKIT
Thank you for agreeing to take part in The Diana Award's evaluation of Be Strong Online!
Your feedback will help us to improve the programme and enable more young people to teach their peers about the online world.
There are three steps for you to take to carry out the evaluation:
- Book in a time for your follow-up interview phone call
- Download the Critical Thinking Online Resources
- Run the module and complete questionnaires
For all of the information and documents you need, please see below.
Don't hesitate to get in contact with me if you have any further questions! You can reach me on my email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or on 0207 628 7499 ext 202.
1. booking your Follow-up interview call
We are asking participants to check in with us at the end of the evaluation to get your thoughts on the process and how it went.
This will be an informal phone call and shouldn't last more than 15 minutes.
Please let me know as soon as possible when you are likely to have delivered the module and when would be a suitable time for your call. Once this is in the diary we can always rearrange if needed, but having this information as soon as possible will allow me to plan the evaluation process.
2. download the critical thinking online resources
As a reminder, taking part in the Be Strong Online evaluation will involve you – or a suitable staff member at your school - running one of our modules.
This means recruiting a group of around 6 ‘Tech Trainers’ from Years 8 or 9, using our resources to run a training session with them, and the Tech Trainers delivering an interactive 20-minute session to a younger group of students on the topic of Critical Thinking Online.
All of the resources you will need are available here:
- Staff guide to running Critical Thinking Online
- Lesson Plan for Tech Trainers to follow
- Information Sheets for students and parents
- Presentation in PowerPoint or PDF format
3. run the module and complete questionnaires
Once you have used the above resources to run the module, we would like to gain feedback from you, the Tech Trainers, and the students who received the session.
These are available online:
Or in paper format:
Please aim to complete these as soon as possible after the Critical Thinking Online sessions have taken place (you may wish to hand students paper versions of the questionnaires directly after the session).
Please send any completed paper questionnaires to:
The Diana Award
Again, please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions on email@example.com or 0207 628 7499 ext 202.
