1 . What was your school like?

My school was in Neath in South Wales. It was a mixed school,  years 7-11. However years 7 & 8 were on a different campus to years 9, 10 & 11!

2. What is your favourite memory from school?

My favourite memory of school would have to be spending lunchtimes out on the grass fields in the summer or performing with the school band/choir on a few occasions!

3. How did your school experience influence/help your career?

To be honest, my school experience didn't really influence my career as my school was very academic and didn't have a great drama department at the time. I was lucky enough to go to a stage school outside of school which really helped me get where I am today!

4. Were you bullied at school? If so how did you overcome this?

I was always name called throughout my 5 years at school. However I was very fortunate to have an amazing group of friends who always stuck by me and always reminded me to ignore the bullies and take no notice of them! It's really difficult to pluck up the courage to talk to someone about bullying, but suffering in silence is sooooo much worse!!! If you are being bullied always speak up, whether that is to a friend, family member, teacher or Anti-Bullying Ambassador - someone will be able to help you and give you advice!!!!

5. What was your favourite school subject?

My favourite school subject was English or History

6. What did you look forward to when you went back to school after the holidays? What advice would you give to young people who are going back to school after the holidays?

I absolutely loved getting a new school diary and timetable. Also covering all your new text books was amazing!! You guys should be excited to be furthering your path in school and discovering day by day what really interests you so you can start thinking of career paths/ jobs and ways to better yourself in those areas to get you to where you want to be. Learning is a gift and use it wisely!!

7. Was there anything you worried about when you went back to school after the holidays? How did you overcome this?

Your first day back after summer can be exciting and also a little daunting. Always arrange to meet your friends outside and go in together so you can all chat about the things you got up to over summer. Ease yourself back in. Get a list of things you got up to over summer so you've got lots to talk about to different people. That was my little trick, you're never stumped for things to discuss with anyone then! :)

8. What was your favourite school meal?

I absolutely loved the school pizza!! That was a huge favourite in my schoo!!

9. If you had to do school again what would you change?

If I had to do school all over again I would definitely come up with a better revision programme so I didn't get so stressed over revision and exams. Make revision fun and colourful with spider diagrams, mind maps, lots of colourful paper and pens! Getting stressed gets you no where!!

10. What advice would you give to anyone who is worried about going back to school because of bullying issues?

If you're worried about going back to school because of bullying, please please please speak to someone about your worries!!!!! DO NOT SUFFER IN SILENCE!!!! Speak to a friend, family member, teacher, maybe a teacher in a club you attend after school? Anyone who will just give you a little boost and some advice and help. If there are Anti-Bullying Ambassadors at your school please speak to them! They'll be trained in how to help you and will offer you amazing support. It will get better and the more you speak up the easier it will be to sort out the situation. Everyone as some point in the life no matter what sex or age could get bullied - the important thing to remember is you are not alone - you must get the courage to speak up!!!!! :)
