Lisa Howard, Pastoral Manager from Alferton Grange Arts College in Derbyshire, has raised an astounding £1062.01 for the Anti-Bullying Programme!
Brave Lisa was challenged by one of the school’s Anti-Bulling Ambassadors to wear a Nottingham Forest football shirt, at a match against Derby County.
Lisa said “These are arch rivals, and I am a MASSIVE Derby fan, so this was VERY HARD for me to do!”
Lisa made headlines with her fundraising challenge, and was interviewed by a number of radio stations, newspapers and Derby County for their TV station (Rams in focus episode 19).
Lisa said “We have done lots of fund raising in school, Summer and Christmas fairs. Take that tribute night. All proceeds go to the Diana award. We have an annual Christmas fair now as very successful. We now have a new Anti-Bullying room all decorated with homemade pictures about bullying. My ambassadors still do lunch time duties, we run a lunch club in the AB room, where they play on the WI, and watch films. They just come in for a general chat if needed.”
