Manchester Creative & Media Academy share their Anti-Bullying Ambassadors work with us
Fourteen students from Years 7 – 11 attended a full day of training from The Diana Award to become the academy’s Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.
Since then the Ambassadors have been busy ensuring the anti-bullying message is spread throughout the academy. They have created a display called ‘MCMA students say ‘NO!’ to Bullying’ whereby students have written the names on pieces of a jigsaw to show everyone fits in. They have also had a Diversity workshop that has worked with every student within the academy to combat discrimination for LGBT.
Tracey Semp, their lead staff member said "we are very proud to get the ‘School of the Month’ certificate from the Diana Award due to the work the students have done."
The Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are:
Yomi Oderinde – Yr 10, Yao Cocles – Yr 11, Heather Staniland – Yr 9, Olivia-Helen Jackson – Yr 8, Tameka Cunliffe – Yr 7, Saman Zahra – Yr 7, Ishaa Assim – Yr 8, Denva Bruder – Yr 7, Jayden Hinsley – Yr 7, Luke Armstrong - Yr 7, Mohammed El Teryaky – Yr 10 and Ghiglary Fouty Moussounda – Yr 7
